Shannon Ward (Ph.D. Anthropology, New York University) is a linguistic anthropologist with interests in multilingualism, language socialization, and early childhood. Her field research focuses on greater Tibetan and Himalayan communities, including those living in diaspora. She is an assistant professor in the department of Community, Culture, and Global Studies at the University of British Columbia, Okanagan, and a member of UBC Language Sciences.
