Prize Research Fellow, University of Bath

Dr. Sheree Bekker is an applied health researcher, with a primary focus on injury prevention and safeguarding in sport settings. Her research is underpinned by social complexity theory – the study of complex adaptive (human) systems – and informs the theorising, development, implementation, and evaluation of injury prevention and safeguarding interventions, policy, rules, and regulations. She also has an interest in sex and gender in health research.

She is part of the Sport Injury Prevention at Bath research group, and a social media editor for BMJ Injury Prevention.
