Shir Shimoni is a PhD candidate in the Department of Culture, Media and Creative Industries at King’s College University of London. Her research explores the question of ageing, subjectivity and cultural representation. Specifically, she is focused on the emergence and re-constitution of female ageing subjectivities under neoliberalism as a dominant order of normative reason within the Anglo-Western cultural landscape.
