Shiralee Poed is a member of the Learning Intervention team within the Melbourne Graduate School of Education at the University of Melbourne. Shiralee joined the University in 2011, after working for over three years at Griffith University in Queensland.
Prior to entering higher education, she worked as a government policy advisor in Queensland. She also has extensive experience as a teacher and school leader in State, Catholic and Independent Primary, Secondary and Special schools across Queensland and New South Wales.
Shiralee’s doctoral research was titled “Adjustments to curriculum for Australian school-aged students with disability - what's reasonable”. Her research interests span disability discrimination, adjustments to curriculum, and Positive Behaviour Interventions and Supports. Shiralee is the co-chair of PBIS Australia.
