Shoshanah Jacobs

Associate Professor, Integrative Biology, University of Guelph

My research is super transdisciplinary but the common thread is that I take a systems-approach to problem solving. I use the power of transdisciplinarity to ensure that the solutions are meaningful to the communities that they serve. I work on questions within higher education and biomimetics, focusing on knowledge translation and transfer and how we can leverage community to become better and more inclusive. My work includes issues of accessibility and disability because STEM fields are particularly under represented.
