Simon Gérard

I am Assistant Professor and Programme Director for the MSc Sport Management at the Faculty of Business and Law, Coventry University, UK.

Passionate by sport and social change, I have a solid professional background in Higher Education, where my research concentrates on 1) the risk of mission drift in not-for-profit sport organisations and how it can impact sport participation for marginalised groups and 2) the socio-economic inclusion of people with disabilities through the medium of sport. I have a record of publications composed of academic articles in highly-ranked scientific journals and book chapters in reputable publishers. I have successfully secured research grants from various funding bodies, including the rigorous Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) in Great-Britain.
