PhD Candidate, University of Salford

Siobhán Kelly is a PhD candidate in the Department of Sociology & Criminology at Salford University, where she also works as a Research Assistant and Seminar Tutor. Her research focuses on ageing, inclusivity, belonging and social participation. Specifically, she is exploring the lived experience of older charity shop volunteers, and investigating how their roles may have changed alongside the expansion of the sector. She is particularly interested in urbanisation & ageing, ageing-in-place and the development of age-friendly communities.
