I conceived of and lead the research project, 'Exploring Inequalities – igniting research to better inform UK policy’, a collaboration between UCL’s Grand Challenge of Justice & Equality, UCL Public Policy and the Resolution Foundation.
The project provides a multi-disciplinary exploration of the nature of – and intersections between – structural inequalities in the UK. Critically, the work is identifying gaps in collective knowledge in order to facilitate informed, evidence-based research agendas and policymaking at all levels of government. I was also lead author of the project’s report: 'Structurally Unsound' (published October 2019).
More broadly, as a historian by background, I have experience in working on and leading award-winning research projects and centres. Currently I am Head of Programmes for UCL’s Grand Challenges of Justice & Equality and Cultural Understanding, working with academics and external partners to facilitate research initiatives and foster joint activities.
