Sophie Adler

Sophie Adler is a clinical academic trainee at Cambridge University Hospitals and a part-time postdoctoral researcher at University College London (UCL) Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health. Sophie co-leads the Multi-centre Epilepsy Lesion Detection (MELD) Project, which applies machine-learning to MRI scans from hundreds of patients worldwide to detect subtle brain abnormalities causing epilepsy. The aim is to use this type of technology to help patients receive accurate diagnoses more quickly, help surgeons plan epilepsy surgeries, and increase seizure freedom in these patients.
