Sophie Alexandra Frazer

Doctoral candidate in English, University of Sydney

I am currently writing my PhD thesis in Victorian literature. My work explores the intersection between Victorian visual culture and states of mourning, with a specific focus on phenomenology. A cinephile and Francophile, I am perennially interested in philosophy, film and literature. I am particularly occupied with questions of contemporary visuality and the affects of screen culture. I teach the novels of the Brontë sisters at University of Sydney.
