Sophie Couchman

Dr Sophie Couchman is a curator and professional historian. She is an Honorary Research Associate at Museums Victoria, and an Adjunct Senior Research Fellow, La Trobe University. She has researched and published in the field of Chinese-Australian history and enjoys creating histories that reaches out to the general public through exhibitions, walking tours, oral histories and online resources. Her latest edited collection, 'Journeys into Chinese Australian Family History', was shortlisted for the 2020 Victorian Local History Awards. She is currently President of Professional Historians Association (Vic & Tas)
