Sophie Havighurst

Professor Sophie Havighurst is a child clinical psychologist and the Leader of Tuning in to Kids Research and Dissemination. She is a co-author of the original Tuning in to Kids ® parenting program with Ann Harley. For over 20 years, with their team of researchers, trainers and students, they have developed a suite of parenting programs, conducted or facilitated research evaluating these, and disseminated the programs to professionals to use in working with families. Sophie provides supervision to researchers and professionals who evaluate the program in different countries and with different populations. She is also a Director of the Parent and Family Research Alliance, a group of Australian researchers who work collectively to advocate for evidence based parenting programs.
