Sourav Sengupta

Dr. Sengupta‘s academic interests have centered around collaborative care and medical education. In 2013, he started Integrated Care/for Kids, a collaborative care program in pediatric and adult primary care settings, leading a team of therapists and care coordinators working closely with primary care clinicians to better manage mild to moderate behavioral health issues at "the right time and the right place." InC/K helps more than a thousand patients/families a year to access quality mental health treatment. He is also a member of the CAP-PC team, which provides phone consultations to pediatric primary care clinicians throughout the state of New York, as well as a national educator for the REACH Institute.

Dr. Sengupta became Program Director for the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship in 2016 and has been proud to train compassionate and talented child psychiatrists who make a difference in the lives of emotionally struggling children and families. He supervises fellows at the Children‘s Psychiatry Clinic and at Oishei Children‘s Hospital and developed and coordinates the clinical neurodevelopment curriculum, the collaborative care rotation for senior Fellows, and the family relational assessment and intervention group supervision seminar.

After graduating from Duke University, Dr. Sengupta completed the joint MD/MPH program at Tufts University. He did his adult and child psychiatry training at the Western Psychiatric Hospital at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. He also served as Chief Resident for Education and completed a Public Service Psychiatry fellowship while in Pittsburgh.
