Stacy is a doctoral candidate in the Learning Sciences & Policy program at the University of Pittsburgh. Broadly speaking, her research focuses on the impact of institutional practices and social resources on access to opportunities and learning outcomes. For her dissertation work, Stacy is using a mixed-methods study design to examine the impact of a college success initiative on the persistence outcomes of traditionally underserved college students. Stacy was born and raised in Pittsburgh and is a former New Yorker. Prior to graduate school she worked in the New York City public school system as a college advisor and director of a college-readiness program model.
