Stefan Heinze-Milne

Graduate student in Pharmacology, Dalhousie University

With bachelor's and master's degrees in kinesiology, Stefan switched streams to pursue an interest in pharmacology and is currently completing a PhD in the department of pharmacology at Dalhousie University. His research interests involve the intersection between pharmaceuticals and physical activity/exercise and how crossing paths can be good (or bad). The larger questions about his research include: How can we live healthier lives for longer? What drugs help maintain physical function into old age? His current research focuses on how androgens (i.e., testosterone) and associated drugs affect frailty and the cardiac system.
