Stepan Serdiukov

Ph.D. Candidate in U.S. History, Indiana University

While my primary research area is immigration history of the U.S. and Russia, I also have a keen interest in public history and museum studies. I have published essays on the Manzanar National Historic Site and Museum, the Confederate monuments debate, and the Polish immigrants remembering old Chicago--both for academic and wider audiences. Owing to my past as a journalist, I also remain a committed observer of the fast-changing landscape of Russian independent media.
