Stephanie Alice Baker

Dr Baker is a Senior Lecturer in Sociology at City, University of London. She has held research and teaching positions at the Indian Institute of Technology – Bombay, the University of Sydney, the University of Western Sydney, Goldsmiths and the University of Greenwich, UK.

Dr Baker’s research explores how we connect and communicate online, particularly around issues pertaining to medical misinformation, influencer and wellness culture. Her current research examines the spread of misinformation and disinformation in the context of COVID-19.
