Stephen Bradley

I am a Clinical Research Fellow and a GP working in inner-city Leeds.

Following completion of the academic foundation programme I completed General Practice training in 2016 and have worked at the University of Leeds as a Clinical Fellow since May 2017. My current role is funded by Cancer Research UK's CanTest programme. Through my doctoral research I am investigating the role of imaging in the diagnosis of lung cancer. Prior to my PhD study, I completed an MSc in Health Research at the University of Leeds.

I served as an academic and personal tutor in the University of Leeds Medical School from 2016 to 2019. Prior to this I was a Visiting Lecturer from 2014 to 2016.

In August 2019 I was appointed to the National Institute of Health Research’s Health Services & Delivery Research prioritisation committee. I have also served on a NICE guideline committee and I am an associate at the General Medical Council where I sit on a committee overseeing the PLAB exam, which involves reviewing and setting examination stations. Previously I have served as a specialist expert for the Care Quality Commission inspecting acute hospital trusts and I have also been a Guardian of Safe Working Hours at Leeds Community Healthcare NHS Trust.
