PhD Candidate in Sustainability, University of Warwick

I am a PhD student at the Politics and International Studies Department of University of Warwick, UK. My PhD research involves critically evaluating the sustainable energy policies of Indian cities where I try to understand the challenges posed by the multi-level energy governance regime in India.

In the past, I have been an International Climate Fellow with the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation where I worked at the Wuppertal Institute of Climate, Environment and Energy in Berlin, Germany. As part of my fellowship, I successfully published my research in the Cities Journal as the lead author. Before my foray into academics, I worked as a clean energy policy advisor in India with an international consultancy and was actively involved in capacity building of policymakers and lawmakers for stronger climate change mitigation policies in India.

I have a Master’s degree in Environmental Studies from TERI University and a Bachelor’s degree in Geography from Delhi University.
