I am an Professor in Environmental and Resource Economics at the University of British Columbia with two primary areas of research. 1) The economics of urban transportation, and 2) The economics underlying human wildlife conflict. Some recent questions I have addressed in my research are: do carbon taxes reduce gasoline consumption? Do gasoline taxes encourage people to buy fuel efficient vehicles? What are the direct and indirect costs of living by wildlife reserves in India?
