Associate Professor, University of New England

Susie is an Associate Professor in the UNE Business School, Deputy CEO of the Centre of Excellence for Biosecurity Risk Analysis (CEBRA) at the University of Melbourne, and one of CEBRA's five Chief Investigators. She applies economics to solve biosecurity problems, and as a result she collaborates extensively with weed scientists, ecologists, mathematicians, veterinarians, agricultural scientists, natural resource managers and subject experts. Her research involves investigating resource allocation problems in pest and disease management; research uptake in biosecurity agencies, understanding the value of passive surveillance, and incentives in biosecurity policy.
