ournalist and social commentator Dr. Susan Maushart is a lecturer in media studies at Fordham University and the author of five books, including “The Mask of Motherhood”, which was hailed by the Times of London as a “feminist classic”, and the international bestseller “Wifework”. Her most recent book, "The Winter of Our Disconnect", the true story of her family's six-month-long digital detox, has been published in ten languages and is soon to be - as they say in the classics - a major motion picture. Susan was a columnist for the Weekend Australian Magazine for more than a decade, and holds a PhD in media ecology from New York University. After 25 years in Western Australia, she recently returned home to her native New York.
