Dr Suzy Buckley studied Biochemistry at Jesus College, Oxford University and went on to do a PhD at Imperial College, London looking at the possibility of treating Cystic Fibrosis before birth using gene therapy. She is now a Lecturer in the Institute of Women’s Health at UCL where she directs a research initiative towards fetal and neonatal gene therapy for early-onset genetic disorders.
