Dr Svenja Keele is a postdoctoral fellow in the Melbourne Sustainable Society Institute at the University of Melbourne. Dr Keele's research is about finding new ways to govern complex environmental problems like climate change adaptation, urban resilience and energy transitions. She is interested in the way states, markets and expertise interact to shape policy choices and create new frontiers for investment and innovation. Her PhD examined the role and influence of consultants in advising governments on climate change adaptation. Svenja also has over a decade of professional experience in environmental planning, corporate sustainability and climate change projects in consulting and government, both in Australia and overseas.
