Associate Professor Syed Shams is an internationally recognized researcher in the fields of corporate sustainability, environmental performance, and international business. He has served as Chief Investigator, Co-Investigator, and mentor on numerous interdisciplinary research projects, securing competitive grants from organizations such as DFAT, AFAANZ, and ICAEW. His research expertise is reflected in his extensive publication record, with several articles featured in prestigious finance journals, focusing on climate finance, sustainability, and corporate governance, particularly corporate climate finance disclosures. Associate Professor Shams has published in top-tier journals, including the Journal of Corporate Finance (IF-7.2), Journal of Business Research (IF-10.5), The British Accounting Review (IF-5.5), and Corporate Governance: An International Review (IF-4.60). His work is highly regarded, with some of his papers being among the most cited in the Journal of Corporate Finance and the most read in Corporate Governance: An International Review.
