Taina Quiles

I study Black and Latina women and girls’ critical consciousness and sociopolitical development. I am interested in understanding how they come to understand systemic oppression, feel empowered to change it and take action! I am also interested in how hope, communalism, and cultural wealth contribute to these processes.
