Taufik Rachmat Nugraha

Research associate, National University of Singapore

Taufik Rachmat Nugraha earned a Master of Law degree in 2020 from Universitas Padjadjaran Faculty of Law with a thesis titled "Protection Against Alien Biohazard Contamination in the Mars Exploration Program: An International Space Law Approach." Additionally, Taufik is an active participant in summer schools and short courses abroad, including the 2019 International Seabed Authority (ISA) Marine Scientific Research Endowment Fund recipient at the South China Sea Institute-Xiamen University, the Summer Program for Space Law at the European Centre for Space Law (ECSL), the ICRC Summer School in Armenia, and the International Space Law Workshop Training from APSCO/ESA/CISL 2021.

Taufik Rachmat Nugraha is also active in several international non-government organizations and research institutions; for instance, 2018-Present Taufik was appointed as the National Point of Contact for the Republic of Indonesia by the Space Generation Advisory Council (SGAC), Vienna, Austria, and a member of the International Academy of Space Law, Moscow, Russia. Member of Space Law and Policy Working Group SGAC. from 2021 to 2023, he is a research assistant at the Indonesian Centre for the Law of the Sea-Universitas Padjadjaran (ICLOS-UNPAD). Taufik has been a Research Associate at the Centre for International Law-National University of Singapore (CIL-NUS) since 2023. Taufik is very keen on international space law, the law of the sea. Those are reflected in his academic works, published in national and international journals.
