Dr. Thad Hall is a Subject Matter Expert at Fors Marsh Group and is an expert on election administration and policy making in legislatures. He has authored or coauthored more than 40 research articles and book chapters and seven books.
His books on elections include: Point, Click, and Vote: The Future of Internet Voting; and Electronic Elections: The Perils and Promise of Digital Democracy. His most recent book is Evaluating Elections: A Handbook of Methods and Standards. He also co-edited the books Confirming Elections: Creating Confidence and Integrity Through Election Auditing and Election Fraud: Detecting and Preventing Electoral Manipulation. His research has been supported by grants from the U.S. Election Assistance Commission, the U.S. Department of Defense, the Pew Charitable Trusts, and Carnegie Corporation of New York. He recently completed a study of Election Day voter registration for Demos and a study of all postal voting for the State of Utah.
His work on policy making in Congress includes Abortion Politics in Congress: Strategic Incrementalism and Policy Change and Authorizing Policy.
