Thomas is a researcher in the Department of Primary Care and Public Health, School of Public Health at Imperial College London. He holds Master of Public Health (MPH) and Biomedical Sciences (BSc) degrees, attained at Imperial College, with Distinction and First Class Honours respectively. He has also been awarded the College's Shelia Adam Centenary Prize for Public Health and Epidemiology.
Tom's research focuses on the design and performance of health systems, particularly the National Health Service (NHS) in England. He is currently examining the association between accessible, high quality primary care and the utilisation of acute NHS hospital services.
