Thomas O'Rourke

I graduated from the National University of Ireland, Galway in 2007 with a degree in French and Spanish. Following this I completed a master's degree in Lingustics at Trinity College Dublin (2009-2010) and a second master's in Cognitive Science and Language at the University of Barcelona (2014-2015). I began my PhD in Cognitive Science and Language in 2016 under the direction of Professor Cedric Boeckx. I study the recent evolution of genes encoding a set of neurotransmitters that are potentially important in the emergence of modern human cognition.
