Thomas Schmidt works as Assistant Professor at the Centre for Health Informatics and Technology, University of Southern Denmark. Thomas has a master’s degree in computer systems engineering, and has worked a number of years in the computer gaming industry as a software developer and product manager. In 2013, Thomas returned to academia to complete a PhD scholarship in Patient@home on risk patients in emergency departments. Currently Thomas is involved with research projects on clinical decision support systems, physiological monitoring, machine learning and data simplification.
