Associate Professor in Philosophy and Psychology, University of Copenhagen

Dr Grünbaum is an associate professor of philosophy with a joint appointment at the Section for Philosophy and the Department of Psychology at the University of Copenhagen. His research is mainly concerned with the question of how people control their actions.

Dr Grünbaum was trained in philosophy with a PhD degree from University of Copenhagen. Before taking up his current position, he held postdoctoral fellowships at Cambridge, Copenhagen, and London. Dr Grünbaum is presently the head of the interdisciplinary research group Cognition, Intention, and Action (CoInAct) at the Department of Psychology, University of Copenhagen. The group combines perspectives and methodologies from philosophy, cognitive psychology, and motor neuroscience.
