Tim's research focuses on the dynamics and predictability of weather patterns and how these are being affected by climate change.

He is the author of the popular science book 'Jet Stream: A Journey Through our Changing Climate', which provides an introduction to weather and climate dynamics for a lay audience, and discusses the ways in which climate change is affecting the jet and our weather patterns – and what the future holds for them both.
