Associate Professor of Psychology, University of Toronto

Tina Malti is a developmental and clinical psychologist with expertise in social-emotional development, child and youth mental health, and mental health intervention. Her current research focuses on children’s and adolescents’ emotional experiences and regulatory capacities in the context of everyday social conflict, trajectories of aggressive behavior, and the development of prosocial orientations from early childhood to adolescence. In addition, she studies the ways in which social-emotional development can help improve the mental health of children and adolescents.
She is an Associate Editor of the journal Child Development and currently serves as the Membership Secretary of the International Society for the Study of Behavioural Development.
