My research uses an economic geography lens to provide unique and valuable insights into the political economy of regional and urban development in the context of climate change adaptation. It is exploring the factors influencing the spatial redistribution of different forms of work under climate change , In particular, I am examining the neglected question of how different professionals are powerfully influencing the prioritisation of certain climate risks and adaptation investments . This novel research focus represents a convergence of my existing research on the economic geographies of regional development with more recent work on climate change adaptation.
