Tom Goodfellow is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Urban Studies and Planning at the University of Sheffield, and a Research Associate of the Sheffield Institute of International Development and Sheffield Political Economy Research Institute. Prior to this he was a Teaching Fellow in the Department for International Development at the LSE, where he completed his PhD – a comparative study of the politics of urban development in Rwanda and Uganda – in 2012. While at the LSE he was also a Research Associate for the DFID-funded Crisis States Research Centre, through which he conducted research and analysis for the Cities and Fragile States programme. He has a BA in Social and Political Sciences from the University of Cambridge and an MSc in International Relations from the LSE.
