Associate Professor, School of Health Studies, Western University

An anthropologist with cultural and medical expertise, I conduct ethnographic research with women and others in sex work, people with HIV/AIDS, and Indigenous populations. My special interests include sexuality, gender, marginalization, and the politics of health. Along with contributing to academic and community settings, I also enjoy creative writing and have had a few poems published. I'm currently writing a memoir based on my Bumble dating app experiences, which will be the first book of its kind and promises to contribute new, honest insights about digital dating.
