I am a former military officer (Major) with multiple experience in peacekeeping, and have been engaged on post conflict peace building and humanitarian initiatives for past 20 years. This has involved working with UN agencies and others in various parts of the world, since early retirement from the Nepalese Army in 2007. I am a graduate of Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in UK and have completed back to back masters degrees in Political Science and Conflict, Peace and Development Studies.

I am currently an Endeavour Fellow pursuing a PhD research at the School of Political Science and International Studies in University of Queensland (UQ) in Brisbane. I am working with Professor Alexander Bellamy at UQ and Dr Charles Hunt based at RMIT in Melbourne, to research on the Civilian Protection agenda in UN peacekeeping operations.
