Tristram Sainsbury

Research fellow, Tax and Transfer Policy Institute, Australian National University

Tristram Sainsbury is a Research fellow with the ANU's Tax and Transfer Policy Institute. Tris is completing a Doctorate in Economics at the Australian National University, supported by a Sir Roland Wilson PhD Scholarship. He is currently visiting the Harris School of Public Policy in the University of Chicago as part of this program.

Tris is a former Project Director at the G20 Studies Centre at the Lowy Institute. He has also worked on G20 policy, personal income tax, revenue forecasting and environmental fiscal policy areas at the Australian Treasury. He holds a Masters in Applied Economics from ANU and has completed undergraduate studies in Resource Economics at the University of Sydney.
