Tylissa Elisara is a mother, writer and social worker of Irish and Nunga (Narungga-Kaurna-Adnyamathanha) descent. In 2021, Tylissa won a black&write! fellowship with the State Library of Queensland for Wurrtoo, a children’s novel that she wrote for her oldest child. Currently, Tylissa is studying for a Master of Writing, Editing and Publishing at the University of Queensland, where she also works as a research officer and casual tutor of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander studies.
