Ursula Kilkelly (BA, LLM, PhD) is a Professor of Law at the School of Law, University College Cork, Ireland.
Ursula is a professor of law with an established profile in international children's rights. Her research focuses on the legal implementation of children's rights and she has particular expertise in youth justice and detention, child-friendly justice and healthcare.
At UCC, Ursula founded the innovative Child Law Clinic, which enables student-led research services to support litigation and law reform around children's rights. She teaches International Children's Rights and Juvenile Justice on the LLM Children's Rights and Family Law.
She currently holds two grants - from the Irish Research Council and the Policing Authority - funding research on the relevance of international research on the Irish youth justice system and on children's rights in police custody.
