I obtained a masters degree in Human Rights and Democratisation in Africa (HRDA) from the University of Pretoria in 2009, and a PhD from the University of the Western Cape in 2014. I am an Associate Professor at the Dullah Omar Institute for Constitutional Law, Governance and Human Rights, Faculty of Law, University of the Western Cape.
