Vanissa Wanick Vieira

Teaching Fellow, University of Southampton

I’m a designer, researcher and educator. I love the way people create meaning through interactions with interfaces.
I hold a PhD in Design from the University of Southampton (2017). I also hold a BA in Design from PUC-Rio (2006), and I have a MBA in Marketing from UFF (2008), Rio de Janeiro. I was a tutor at Instituto Infnet (Digital Design Undergraduation Course: web design and digital marketing) and I was a collaborator/teaching assistant at IED (Instituto Europeo di Design). I am also a Fellow of the High Education Academy (HEA).
I'm a visual and interaction designer, with more than 8 years of experience, working for different industries, including information visualisation for newspapers, designing interactive infographics, games for e-learning and website and mobile design. My research interests are cross-cultural HCI, sustainability, social innovation, service design, gamification, games design and participatory design.
