I research how interactions between local and international political economies shape contentious politics and state formation in developing societies. My regional specialties are South Asia, Southern Africa, and Latin America. My book titled "Undoing the Revolution: Comparing Elite Subversion of Peasant Rebellions" is forthcoming with Temple University Press in June 2019.
