Veto Tyas Indrio

Veto joined SMERU in 2015 as a quantitative junior researcher. He is involved in the entire research process from developing research design and instruments, collecting and analyzing data, to producing research reports. His expertise is on the issues of socioeconomics, poverty, and development studies.

Veto has been involved in studies on various topics, including the development of Poverty & Livelihood Map of Indonesia, diagnostic study of child labor in rural areas, entrepreneurship, and economic growth in Indonesia.

Veto also worked on the study titled Structural Transformation and the Release of Labor from Agriculture that discusses the pattern of structural transformation in employment in Indonesia. In 2018, the Asian Development Bank published the study in the form of chapters in the book Indonesia: Enhancing Productivity through Quality Jobs.

Prior to joining SMERU, Veto worked as a assistant lecturer at University of Indonesia.
