Victoria Stead

I am an anthropologist whose work engages themes of social change in relation to land, labour, memory and belonging. I conduct fieldwork in the Pacific, particularly Papua New Guinea, as well as with Pacific Islanders and others working in the horticultural industry in rural Victoria. I am particularly interested in the dynamics of Australian colonialism and post-colonialism within the Pacific region.
