Dr Vinh To is a Senior Lecturer in English Curriculum and Pedagogy in the School of Education, College of Arts, Law and Education at the University of Tasmania, Australia. She has coordinated various English and literacy units in both undergraduate and postgraduate programs. Her research interests include Functional Grammar, Systemic Functional Linguistics, Educational Linguistics, English, literacy, TESOL and languages education, writing development and Asian Literature. She has successfully managed many small research projects and co-supervised PhD students. She has published a number of journal articles and book chapters and delivered talks at national and international conferences, and have been invited as keynote and plenary speakers.
Dr Vinh To is the Creator and Lead Admin of the Systemic Functional Linguistics Interest Group (SFLIG) and the Convenor of the 2020 International Systemic Functional Linguistics Webinars for the SFLIG and the 2021 International Online SFLIG Conference. She is also the Founder and Convenor of the 2021 Australia-ASEAN Academics Forum: Online Education During COVID-19 and beyond. She is Associate Editor of the Literacy Learning: the Middle Years journal and Chief Copy Editor of the Australian Journal of Language and Literacy. Her publications appear in top journals such as the Australian Journal of Linguistics, the International Journal of Early Years Education, the Australian Journal of Language and Literacy, English in Australia and Linguistics and the Human Sciences. Her research activities have been featured widely in media news across the Australian and ASEAN regions.
