Wei Fan is a PhD candidate in Economics at Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh and hold an MSc degree in Economics from the University of Edinburgh.

Her current research applies micro-econometric methods to the study of the technology of skills formation, impact evaluation of social programmes, and the impact of early life shocks on child outcomes. She's worked in Ethiopia with local policymakers.

Wei's research interest lies in understanding the development of child human capital, and how parental investment and early childhood interventions interact with skills and play a role in the process.
