Assistant Professor of Chemistry, University of British Columbia

I hold a PhD in chemistry from Simon Fraser University. Since 2015 I have been employed as an assistant professor of chemistry at The University of British Columbia's Okanagan campus in Kelowna BC. My research group is focused on the development of analytical methods tailored for monitoring the metabolism of carbohydrates, whether in the fermentation tank, the mucus lining the animal digestive tract, or the complex, prebiotic carbohydrates present in milk and dairy products. The main methods we use are mass spectrometry and capillary electrophoresis.
