Yasmine Musharbash

Yasmine Musharbash is a senior lecturer in the School of Archaeology & Anthropology at the Australian National University. Since the 1990s, she has been undertaking participant observation-based research with Warlpiri people in central Australia, exploring themes such as everyday life, the emotions and embodiment, focussing on fear, boredom, sleep and the night all with a view towards understanding the relationships between Warlpiri people and others, be they non-Indigenous people, non-human animals, or monsters. She is engaged in bridging the humanities-social sciences divide by bringing anthropology to the table of interdisciplinary monster studies.
